Salvo Cocina, Director General of the Sicilian Region’s Department of Civil Protection, visited the green roof and described it as “an example of a green roof that absorbs and retains rainwater, releasing it slowly, and prevents dangerous runoff onto the streets and flooding in urban areas caused by an inadequate drainage system.”
