The guided tour of the park, conducted by Barbara Paternò and Augusto Ortoleva, offered participants an immersive experience in the naturalistic and landscape context of the territory. The scientific dialogue involved Laura Maria Mourão, landscape architect specialized in the restoration of Roberto Burle Marx gardens in Brazil and recognized with the title of “Notório Saber”, Annibale Sicurella, agronomist landscape architect specialized in sustainable landscape architecture, and Giuseppe Cirelli, environmental engineer from the University of Catania specialized in Nature-Based Solutions. The meeting provided a comparative perspective between tropical and Mediterranean landscape practices, contributing to the dissemination of innovative approaches to the design and management of urban and peri-urban ecosystems. The discussion also addressed the green roof infrastructure of Di3A, a Nature-Based Solution functional to urban hydrogeological risk mitigation. The event was open to the public free of charge.
