On 21 May 2026, a seminar was held at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment (Di3A) of the University of Catania dedicated to Nature-Based Solutions for Urban Flood Risk Mitigation, with focus on case studies from the city of Catania. The event, organized in collaboration with CSEI Catania and within the framework of the CARDIMED project funded by the European Union, witnessed the participation of international delegations representing partners of the ERASMUS+ KA210 project “RAIN – Raising Awareness against natural disasters and Improving the Network of volunteers in local publics”: the I.C.S. Federico II di Svevia (Mascalucia, Italy), the District of Haymana (Ankara, Turkey), Ankara University – AFAM (Ankara, Turkey), the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority – AFAD (Ankara, Turkey), Check-IN – Cooperação e Desenvolvimento (Lisbon, Portugal), and the Associazione Onlus CMB Italia (Milan, Italy).
